Powador PV-pilot
Powador PV-pilot is our new system design program, which, like its predecessor KACOCALC Pro, you can download for free from our website.
Powador PV-pilot basically works like the autopilot function in an airplane. Simply enter the location of the plant, type and number of modules, and the software tool will automatically find the path to the optimal design – including the projected yield and wiring suggestions.
Powador PV-pilot is geared equally towards professionals and novices. For example, if you, as a budding system operator, only want to look into your possible rate of return, you can simply use Quick Mode. Just enter two items of information for a usable projected yield. The projected yield is a conservative estimate that is normally surpassed during actual operation. You are also given an estimated performance ratio in which a value from 70 to 80 percent is considered very good. If you would like to compare options, simply save the current design and start with the next one.
Tip: You can use the relevant “+/-” field to specify a tolerance for the number of modules.
For a first-class design which leaves nothing to be desired, switch to Expert Mode. Here you can adjust the automatic design to meet individual requirements.
If you are used to KACOCALC Pro and wish to manually wire the PV generator and inverters, you will definitely want to start with Classic Mode.
