Champions of the middleweights
KACO is represented by eight units in the class of units with power ratings falling between small string inverters and large central inverters. The success of the Powador 8000xi gave the impetus to offer the proven design in additional power increments.
All units are characterized by transformerless topology without a step-up converter. DC disconnectors and string fuses are already integrated. This provides maximum safety for the system operator and makes the installer’s job easier.
This inverter is conceived for a strong performance as a Trio with each unit feeding into one of the three phases. This allows each unit to optimally utilize the voltage range of a photovoltaic installation that has been divided into three sub-generators. The integrated SYM bus assures that in the event of asymmetry, the maximum permissible limit of 4.6 kW is not exceeded even if there is a fault in a unit. This makes these units an alternative to central inverters, depending on the PV system design. Since all inverters of the 00xi series can also be freely combined, our string inverters afford you nearly unlimited freedom to plan your installation, from 2 kW into the megawatt class.
Best of both worlds
The supreme concept that we started with the Powador 4000 has paid off. The unit pleased our customers and was also very impressive at the Photon inverter test. The new supreme inverters now combine the advantages of this concept with those of our best-selling units that have power ratings from 6.4 kW to 8 kW of AC rated power. Those who know how to design their PV systems for maximum yields will be well served by these units.
