Solar emergency power supply with Powador gridsave
A stable power supply seems to be a matter of course. Several power failures over the past few years have shown that this is not the case. In fact, inadequate investment in the grid infrastructure leaves us worried that more blackouts lasting long periods of time will occur in the future.
The consequences of production downtimes for industry are devastating. However, private households suffer too – data loss on PCs, refrigerator failure and a cold flat to name a few.
Conventional grid-connected photovoltaic installations can not safeguard the security of energy supplies at the moment. In accordance with current safety requirements, it must be possible that feed-in inverters disconnect from the grid in the event of power failure. The integration of the grid-connected PV installation in a system for solar emergency power supply offers relief.
Electrifying off-grid regions
These days renewable energy sources provide the most cost-effective alternative in rural areas without electricity supply. A further development is provided by system solutions which not only replace the climate-damaging diesel generators that were previously generally used but also flexibly combine and manage various locally available energy sources. Based on reliable power electronics, we are therefore developing a system comprising a charge controller, battery storage system and consumption management system which can supply entire villages with electricity.
